塗料や防腐剤として、また水銀にして仏
像の鍍金に使われる重要な材料。
空海も高野山選定に丹が産出するを重要

高という漢字は竜宮と解釈されることがある。清高とは青龍という意味に
なる。稲荷とは輪廻再生のドラゴンと同義語であり、それはしめ縄と同じ
意味を持つ

義経公ご神水
源義経公が鞍馬山から奥州の藤原氏をたより旅に出た際、当社にもしばらくの間滞在したことが古文書に記されています。その時、義経公の道先案内をした
と言われているのが、金売吉次という奥州の豪商です。

この金売吉次とは、弁慶など義経を取り巻きの一人で、今風に言えば金属商社
を営む人と言えるでしょう。宇多天皇に対する菅原道真と同じような人です。
道真は左遷されたというが、大宰権帥(だざいごんのそち)大宰府の長官である
。中国や朝鮮半島との貿易の窓口で、大阪泉州、桑原に領地をもっていた道真
にとって生糸貿易で財を成したと思われる。さらに大宰権帥は防人の統率者で
軍事、経済において強大な力をもっていた。源氏の中枢が関東進出、東北進出
を水軍力をもって果たして行く裏側には、このようなネットワークが存在し、
道真が天神様として全国に名をとどろかせた背景である。そのネットワーク
は現在まで健在である。
